This was kinda a big deal for me. I'm not wearing a wig in these pics. It's my natural hair with some hair extensions. So if I ever let my hair grow out, this is what it will look like. I was really nervous because the extensions didn't blend in smoothly with my real hair. I had to move some extensions from the back of my head to the front to make it look right. Subsequently, my hair in the back looks really awkward but, from what I'm told, my hair looks great from the front. Let me know what you think.
If I get a lot of positive feedback, I may opt for this in the future instead of a wig. It may not look as nice as a wig but it feels more natural. Plus I can leave it in longer.
I decided to leave my extensions in the entire week and live in girl mode. That included going out shopping in New Hope which I decided to do the next day. It was my first time shopping en femme which was somewhat monumental but I didn't feel it warranted a diary entry.
New Hope is very gay-friendly and everyone was kind and courteous. I didn't get any strange looks or stares (at least that I could see) so either no one read me or everyone was totally accepting. Either is fine with me. My only complaint is there actually are not many places to shop in New Hope so I didn't buy anything. I never even got to try anything on. <sigh> Next time I'll go somewhere with better shopping prospects even if it's not as T-friendly.
